After descending the endless stairs of Fushimi Inari-taisha, my wife and I wandered through the streets of Kyoto completely exhausted. On our way back to the main districts, we discovered the beautiful Yasaka Shrine.

We decided to stay for a while as I took a few photographs, and slowly the afternoon turned into golden hour. What began as a quiet stop became one of the most unforgettable moments of our 2024 trip, as the shrine filled with ceremony, movement, and warm summer light.
