During my stay in Shizuoka, rain covered the city for almost the entire trip.

It wasn’t until my final day — just before returning to Tokyo — that the clouds finally disappeared. I took my camera and spent hours walking through the harbor, observing Mount Fuji emerge above the city.

Rather than documenting the landscape itself, this series focuses on the quiet everyday moments unfolding beneath it: people fishing, resting, walking, waiting, and existing alongside the immense presence of the mountain.
